Community spirit raises over £7,600 at Budehaven ARB
A fund raising day and two very generous donations from local organisations, have brought in over £7,600 of much needed funding to Budehaven ARB in recent weeks.
Centre Co-ordinator's son, Josh, kindly organised a friendly football match between North Petherwin and Southgate Veterans to raise funds for transport and off-site activities. Pupils from the ARb - Sky, Travis and Daniel - openedd the games by blowing their whistles loudly. Launceston Football Club kindly offered the pitch and club house for free and a fantastic local band, The Mighty Revz provided a free night of music. Lots of local businesses donated raffle prizes and together they raised £732.74 from the event.
In addition, Budehaven ARB have also benefitted from the generosity of Bolingey Barbarians who kindly gave them £6,000 for new equipment for their sensory room.
They have also been gifted £880 from the Blanchminster Trust for transport to a careers event and a trip to the zoo.
